Onyx Storm Release Date
Onyx Storm will be released on January 21, 2025. This news was shared on Good Morning America first and Yarros has submitted her first draft to her editor in June.
“And BOOM,” Yarros wrote on Instagram. “The first draft of Onyx Storm is off to my editor!”
The cover of Onyx Storm is also out and that was released in July. This has been a great rollout and the hype for the novel keeps on building. As of right now, the third installment in the Empyrean series is charting on the weekly bestseller list.
In a press release in July, Yarros said that she is excited “to be back with these characters again.”
“After three books, we’re on an incredible journey together and I’ve loved expanding the world around them as they discover more about it,” she said. “I can’t wait for readers to see what Violet, Xaden, and the rest of the quadrant have in store for them in Onyx Storm.”
Expect to see more of the world that Yarros has created in the Empyrean series. I expect this novel to shatter some records when it is finally released.
Empyrean Series Guide
There are currently two books in the Empyrean series, Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. Both were released in 2023 and have made Yarros one of the most popular authors alive. Iron Flame went on to spend 36 weeks on the New York Times best sellers list.
Fourth Wing TV Show
The success of the books has led to a TV Show being made. Amazon MGM Studios will be partnering up with and Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society to produce the show. Yarros will be an executive producer on the show.
